Studio Diaries: Notes on Craft, Conception, and Curation

Breathtaking Moments
Nothing matches the pristine, untouched beauty of a spring morning at the beach, when the entire coast is blanketed in absolute privacy. You step onto miles of soft, empty sand, and everything feels completely still. The air is crisp, the waves are just soft murmurs, and the morning dew is clinging to the coastal grass, catching the early light. It’s the kind of scenery that catches in your chest—a fleeting moment that leaves you completely still.
That feeling of peace and intimacy was the inspiration behind our Morning Dew invitation suite.
A Coastal Escape & Creative Anchor
A collection of breathtaking photography by Sean Thomas became the creative anchor for this entire suite, perfectly capturing the quiet, coastal atmosphere I wanted to bring to life. His imagery of soft mist, muted seafoam tones, and the effortless romance of a secluded shore guided every design choice. The goal wasn't simply to create beautiful paper, but to recreate the exact mood of those photographs. It is a suite designed to feel like a private coastal escape—deeply personal, filled with quiet luxury, and crafted for couples who appreciate the beauty in the quietest moments.
To me, this suite is a reminder that weddings don't have to be loud to be breathtaking. Sometimes, the most powerful moments are the ones that feel entirely your own.
P.S. Can we just take a moment to appreciate the effortless artistry of this photographer? Truly breathtaking—just wow, no notes.
Inspired by the fresh romance of early morning light, this suite features sun kissed foil-pressed typography on crisp, premium cardstock—creating an invitation as serene and beautiful as the dawn.

Studio Diary No. 1
Designing “A Very English Garden”
There is a distinct magic in an English garden—a curated yet effortless beauty where wild blossoms meet structured stone pathways. When designing our latest fine art invitation suite, “A Very English Garden,” I wanted to capture that exact sense of timeless elegance and romantic serenity.
The Mood & Inspiration
Every collection starts with a feeling. For this suite, I found myself completely losing track of time scrolling through images of overgrown European estates, muted botanical oil paintings, and those perfect, weathered Old World textures. I wanted something that felt less like a standard wedding invitation and more like an editorial piece of art you’d want to keep on your mantle.
You can explore some of the specific visual touchpoints that shaped this design directly on my Pinterest board:
Bringing the Suite to Life
When I sat down to design the collection, my heart was set on creating something that felt less like a piece of mail and more like an experience—a little moment of anticipation for your guests the second they pull the envelope from their mailbox.
In the design imagery for this suite , you’ll see how I brought that vision to life. I wanted a balance of organic warmth and true, high-end sophistication, so I combined delicate botanicals with a soft gold foil that catches the light so beautifully in person.
I love how the sage and olive tones ground the entire suite, giving it that effortless, modern estate feel. To give it that special, heirloom quality, I layered the invitation in a soft, floral-printed vellum and tied it all up with a silk ribbon and a delicate butterfly wax seal. It feels thoughtful and perfectly cohesive—just the way I think a wedding invitation should.
For couples planning a luxurious garden wedding, this suite offers a beautiful glimpse into how editorial design and artisanal craftsmanship bring a wedding vision to life.
